Fondu is a New Zealand based swimwear brand which sets out to create functional designs made using sustainable materials and ethical practices.

We try to have as little impact on the earth as possible.

One of the ways we do this is by the materials we use. The main fabrics we use to make our swimsuits are Econyl and Repreve.

These companies design fabric which is made from recycled plastic waste. The fabric we use is usually made from 95% polyester or nylon, and 5% spandex to give the swimsuits stretch.

We also use deadstock fabrics for some of our swimsuits.

Our Makers

We're not fans of mass production so our swimsuits are made in small batches by expert sewists in either Bali or New Zealand. You can be sure our garments are made ethically and by a small team of people.

Your swimsuit will come lovingly and minimally packaged. Most of our packaging, including mailers and hygeine stickers, is either compostable or recyclable. We are in the process of phasing out our packaging that is not compostable or recyclable.

Giving back

As a business, we believe giving back is essential. A minimum of 1% of sales is donated to causes we believe in.
